French at its Finest
Change for the better? Try these unique and authentic French cuisine in Cebu, visit no other than La Maison Rose – The Pink House Restaurant. Known to many, this house has transcended from a family of Velez. Turned into a cultural hub and a new haven for both local and international guests. Open Last August 2012, brag as the Best New Restaurant by Esquire in 2013 and again named as the best Restaurant by Philippine Tatler in 2016. These post was long overdue but I guess, justice should be served.
The lovely facade of the place become instantly famous not only because of their garden but also the enticing interior design all thanks to the famous interior designer Delphine De Lorme. Moreover, the place is covered with bright color, cool exterior layout and the famous high-tech Menu pad.
At arrival, we were greeted with their lovely waitresses dressed in pink. The girls was really accommodating, greeted by them with their wonderful smile gives you an exciting vibes that you would feel at home by their gestures. We were guide to our table and immediately given an appetizer called Blinis, it is made up of Cheese puff, Caviar and truffle. For Starter, we ordered the famous Oeufs Cocotte and Tanigue salad. The delightful taste of Cocotte comes with a toasted bread is a good pair up, Tanigue salad taste like heaven, the smokey flavor of Tanigue come with their special dressing was evidently surprising.
For our main course, we had their famous Steak au Poivre and Lasagna de Christine. The beef was perfectly season that goes along with the delectable Dill Rice (we actually had the potato wedges, but sad to say, I accidentally deleted the pic ^_^ ) and of course the famous ratatouille. Also, don’t forget the Lasagna de Christine too, t’was more than great, fresh green salad was served along side the Lasagna itself.
Of course, our meal won’t be completed without dessert and for that, Coulant au Chocolat was beyond imagination. The perfectly baked Coulant au Chocolat would clearly satisfies every chocoholic person just like me. The taste was heaven, texture was smooth creamy and the lava inside was perfect, this dessert is a great combination of any black coffee or tea.
All in all, it was great experienced. The ambiance, friendly waitresses, and most especially the food, the experienced we had was one of the best. It was a blast. A perfect celebration of my best friend birthday, and by the way don’t forget to check out La Vie Parisienne too, just right beside La Maison Rose great for chillin and have a bottle of wine. In addition, night visit is beyond expectation, the place during day time is great for Instagram post but more appealing during night time as lights coming from cherry blossom or shall we say LED lights was perfect.
